A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to get only real emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without effort if you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet incredibly user-friendly, and it will allow you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one you’ll see a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable the feature, clicking on it for a second time will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.
